This draft explains how Round Up LLC (“RoundUp Balance,” “we,” “us”) handles information in its merchant store-credit service.

Information we collect

We may process customer phone numbers, merchant and location details, purchase and balance activity, transaction identifiers, support communications, device and service logs, and integration data supplied by point-of-sale providers. The pilot converts customer phone numbers into a one-way lookup value and retains only the last four digits for display.

How we use information

We use information to identify a customer’s merchant-specific balance, record credits and redemptions, process reversals, operate merchant reporting, calculate business-paid application fees, secure and troubleshoot the service, provide support, and comply with legal obligations.

How information is shared

We may share information with the participating merchant, point-of-sale and hosting providers, professional advisers, and service providers acting for us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a business transaction. We do not sell customer phone numbers or balances.

Retention

We retain balance and transaction records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, honor outstanding merchant-issued value, resolve disputes, maintain financial records, and meet legal obligations. Support and security records may follow different retention periods.

Security

We use measures designed to protect information, including encryption for stored integration credentials, restricted administrative access, masked phone display, and transaction ledgers. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Choices and requests

Customers may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of eligible personal information. Some transaction or balance records may need to be retained to protect the customer, merchant, or comply with law. Identity verification may be required.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service, providers, and legal requirements change. We will post the revised effective date on this page.
